Was your New Years Resolution to be healthier? Exercise more? Or try something new? This is the perfect beach race from beginners to seasoned athletes. The Hangout and LA Fleet Feet are proud to once again bring you the Annual Sweetheart Run 5k, 10k and 1 mile fun run.

Join us on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at The Hangout. 5k & 10k starts at 9am (day of registration starts at 7am) 1m Fun Run starts at 10am. Of course the Hangout will provide the after party with complimentary post race buffet for participants and live music to start your weekend off right. Super Bowl Super Party $5000 Football Toss

Cheer your team on to victory, or just come for the party. Regardless of who’s team, which team, your team heck even if your team isn’t in the game, you can walk away $5000.00 richer. Each quarter will produce a winner; those lucky four will get a chance to toss for $5000. Each quarter winner will get $100 Hangout gift card and then at the end of the game the quarter winners will have a chance throw to win up to $5000.

Each winner will compete to be the last one standing. The final competitor will have a chance to throw to win up to $5000. The competitor will start on the 10 yard line, throw, make it and win $500. Then the choice is yours. Take the money and run, or keep throwing to win more money.

The first 200 people in the door an hour before kickoff will receive free tailgating food. From every first down to touch down the Hangout is your football Headquarters. Cedric Burnside Project

The Hangout in Gulf Shores, AL is proud to present an evening of North Mississippi Blues with national recording artist Cedric Burnside. On Friday February 3^rd, join us for a free show with the grandson of legendary blues man himself, R.L. Burnside. Cedric Burnside will be joined by Cody Burnside and Trento Ayers. Together the three forms a unique sound that is true to delta blues and with each note draws you closer into the music. Cedric was born and raised in Holly Springs, Mississippi. At the young age of 13, he began touring around the world playing drums with his grandfather, North Mississippi blues legend R.L. Burnside also known as “Big Daddy”. In late 2006, Cedric & Lightin’ Malcum teamed up and toured as “The Juke Joint Duo” which produced the award winning record, ‘Two Man Wrecking Crew’. In 2010, Cedric collaborated with his younger brother, Cody Burnside, and his uncle, Garry Burnside, to create The Cedric Burnside Project. Cody’s raps are always percussive, funky and entertaining. He can freestyle with the best of them, and is constantly writing new deep and unique lyrics. Trenton Ayers grew up with Cedric in North Mississippi, where the is known for his deep knowledge of the blues, and skills on both the guitar and the bass. He plays in many genres, from blues, soul and Jazz to R&B, funk and fusion. Trenton respects the roots and always keeps it fresh, new and exciting. After years playing in legendary local acts in The Hill Country, he joins his childhood friends Cedric and Cody on their mission to bring the North Mississippi sound to the world.
